Broom works as intended

Driftwood is an awesome game to dive into if you are looking for a game that is relaxing and somehow at the same time difficult. The initial 4 hours are somewhat of a trial and error period. Somewhere in the 5th and 6th hour I felt a click and suddenly could easily control the board in almost every situation and set up. Worth sitting down and playing. Hopefully, as the game continues to develop, we will see more maps and more features. There are still some issues with the scoreboard and timing system here and there but it does not really detract from the charm of the game. As someone who has put nearly 3000 hours into counter strike surfing, I love a game that can successfully create a timed leaderboard. I would love to see an addition of checkpoints midrun that tell you your split versus WR or prior PRs.

Definitely going to keep playing and am looking forward to future updates.

Beautiful visuals and some crazy atmospheric soundtrack.

This game is hauntingly beautiful every step of the way. The level design, lighting, and soundtrack provide an atmosphere that hits immaculately. I had apprehensions about playing a game with a fixed camera view based on prior titles boasting the same feature, but this game uses the fixed camera in a much more cinematic way that adds to the story without impeding the game play.

If played straight through, the story is about 4-5 hours long. Though short, that does not detract from the impact that this game has. I often found myself having a hard time setting the game down between sessions due to the perfect flow from chapter to chapter as well as the continued intrigue that each new setting brought.

This game is an absolute must play. At its core, the gameplay is simple and intuitive while the setting is charming at every turn. The soundtrack is absolutely immense and has no business being so damn good. This is the sort of game that you can play through the whole story in one sitting or take your sweet time looking for every secret. The game is similarly charming to Cult of the Lamb while having a unique story and unique combat. Definitely worth pickin up.
