This is functionally an idle game, if you want to consider it a game.

Your wolfgirl can be petted and poked and moved around, but the meat of the game is to maintain her statistics (hunger, energy, and happiness), and assign her tasks. She earns money through work tasks. Playing or sleeping tasks serve to regenerate stats without spending. The money is used to buy upgrades for new tasks and items that unlock as you progress through the leveling system (affection).

There are several new achievements added recently as of the time of this review. Some achievements require doing certain tasks while the streamer Silvervale is actively streaming, but there are ways to tell when this is the case.

A loot box (random cosmetic awarded) and 3 cosmetics are available daily for random purchase with the money the pet earns (everyone sees these same random cosmetics each day according to discussions I had with the developer). You also get petals automatically throughout the day (and can destroy unneeded cosmetics to get them). These serve as another currency that can craft lootboxes. You can simply buy everything that's for sale each day and turn them into petals to roll more lootboxes, but it will be at a loss even if you have all the upgrades.

It should be noted that the game does allow selling and buying the cosmetics and lootboxes on the Steam Community Market. Prices were initially quite high, but over time have decreased to the amount of pennies for most cosmetics currently available. Participating with real funds is not necessary to get all of the achievements, but it could speed the process along if you were so inclined -- one achievement involves putting items in every cosmetic slot, and some slots only have one or two items available. This can take awhile to get naturally, so watch the daily sales for ears and tails!

If you do like the game and want to support the team behind it, there are two in-game outfits (that are quite nice) for $4.99 each. The game is continually being updated and even now has some placeholder menu options indicating more is on the way. I'm nearing 1000 hours of this adorable little thing romping around my spare monitor, and she's usually casually mining ore or carving pumpkins with a big stabby knife and an expression I find concerning.
