OK, so I'm like 9 hours in almost and this is how I feel having reached the 5th campaign:

PROS: IMPOSSIFICATION ROCKS! / Imaginative Rides That Look Great / Ongoing Plot & Story / Easy Path Maker

CONS: Impossification on Roller Coasters is weak at best, almost nothing changes that I can tell. Simulation seems a little weird: why do I have like 3K people at my park but I'm losing money so fast, it's like they stop spending money, yet people are in lines? I'm confused. I love how you can place stuff pretty much anywhere without a fuss, I don't like how graphically though it can look janky (like half through the ground texture kind of thing), same with paths, they can look janky when going through terrain. The tool while super easy to use, needs gentler curves with longer distance before the bend, it makes making Queues and Paths difficult when you want to do a snake or zigzag with the path/queue.

UI / INTERFACE: Also this is kinda petty but it does bother me, is the font and iconography of the game, I don't like the "sketch" font and icon style, also the colors are kinda meh for the UI. I find the font hard to read and kind of just annoying. I wish they went with more a modern and flat style of icons, with a smart and simple sans serif font for the UI. I mean the Impossification crayon thing looks kinda...silly to me. It seems minor and petty, but I think these things matter when you have to use them/see them for hours and hours. Also searching for things is a pain because the icons are small in the UI and also use an unclear style IMO. I do like how it shows at a glance how many of something you already have, that is nice.

COASTERS: So let's also talk Roller Coasters, they are boring and their animations are kinda broken, especially the spring/pinball based module ones, it looks jank as all get out. Also when you impossify them, nothing really changes or happens to the ones I've done anyway. I have not tried to build many of my own custom ones yet, so I can't comment, maybe that is the ticket vs. the prefabs, which don't get me wrong, they're decent designs, they're just not as crazy and cool as the flat rides are. When you impossify the flat rides, you really get a treat in visuals and design, it's really cool, but coasters, yeah not so much. Also you can impossify staff, which also rocks and does cool stuff like the flat rides, that I'm a fan of.

SIMULATION: It seems OK, but like I said earlier, why do I have a park bursting with people but I can't make a penny? It's like people don't spend or have money, and they are not buying anything. Yet the Queues are rammed and stores have customers...weird. Also things can get boring, where there is nothing you can do while you wait for hopefully money to come in, or you just sit there going bankrupt with nothing you can do about it. This makes the campaigns (starting from around number 5) a little frustrating and sometimes tedious or boring.

TRIGGERS?: I haven't tried to do anything fancy, I think they call them Hooks in this game, unless Hooks are something else. But It doesn't seem to be nearly as elaborate as Planet Coaster.

MUSIC / SOUNDS: This is very lackluster as there is basically no music to the game and I don't see a why to play my own or create a playlist, the musical motifs and queues get stale fast and sound is almost non existent motif or queue wise, besides a soundtrack that is also missing. I wish they had done more in this area for sure. The park just has a background sound to itself that gets old, I can't really tell the difference from ride to ride, although the rides have their own sounds to them, they are not memorable, but do sync with the ride so that is a plus. They can and should do better in this area.

OVERALL: It's somewhat fun, and very easy to jump into. The introduction helps for new comers to the genre or series. The story is engaging and fun, with good actors doing their best. Maps are huge and inventive with interesting biomes. Creation system is easy to learn and use for paths and coaster building with very forgiving placement rules/collision checking. Music and sound is a let down but animations are really great on flat rides and shops/buildings (not so much on the coasters). Interface/UI is visually needing an overhaul it looks too childish and makes the game look cheap. A fun time if you are a fan of the genre, if you are new the story will engage you and assist you in learning to be a builder in no time. The building system makes it easy for new comers and veterans alike to build out their dreams with less restriction and more imagination than other builders. Impossification is awesome in most cases and really adds a mechanic that was needed to help keep things fresh and lively.

FINAL THOUGHTS: If you like Planet Coaster, Roller Coaster Tycoon, Etc. You should enjoy this game as well, the experience is dialed back compared to Planet Coaster, so keep your expectations dialed back as well. If the UI changes are made, systems enhanced and made deeper and more comprehensive within the simulation and editor, as well as improved music and sound design, then this thing could really have some major legs! As for now, it's a fun time that can leave you frustrated and a little bored at moments. Judging by the patches and the notes, they really work hard to fix a lot of stuff as fast as possible, I hope that continues!
