Is it a good game?
Yeah, i would say so.
Is it a good Dragon Age game?
Well that depends on the person who is playing it but i would say it is.
Was it worth the 10 year wait?
Honestly, while i enjoyed the game overall i don't think what we got was worth the 10 year wait after Inquisition.

So, let me start by saying I am by no means a Dragon Age franchise veteran. I got into this series in 2018 and have played all three previous games prior to the release of this one. Everything in this review is my personal opinion, and you do not have to agree with it.


-Most expansive character creator Bioware has ever put out.

-The Prologue/Opening Act gets you gripped basically immediately.

-In my opinion, all of the companions are all generally likable and, for the most part, are not written poorly.

-This comes down to personal preference, but combat feels fluid for a comparison think of God of War (2018) type combat but with companions.

- The last act of the game is very good. Without spoiling anything, it manages to keep the tension and stakes high through the entire last stretch of the game. It feels like your decisions throughout the game even minor ones come back to bite you, and it hurts at times.


-After the opening act, the game does fumble slightly for a bit while it finds its footing and can take a while before attention is grabbed again.

-The ending feels a tad abrupt, but my issue with it is most likely because I prefer some kind of falling action in stories after the climax.

-The game feels like it was Solas romance-focused. This wasn't a huge issue for me because I was one of those people who romanced Solas in Inquisition. 

-I romanced Harding in my first playthrough, so this could just be a problem with her romance, but it felt at points kind of like the romance was an afterthought, especially towards the end of the game. From looking at other reviews this seems to be the case across the board which is disappointing. Hopefully a content update or DLC down the road can add more to the romances to give them a bit more substance.


-Some of the enemy attacks especially from Rage Demons and the Blood Forges feel undogeable or unparryable (could just be a personal skill issue).

-Unfortunately, as expected of modern AAA games, the performance is really hit or miss.

-Keyboard controls are absolute dog water. I implore you to use a controller.

-No world state system. This is honestly my biggest argument for not purchasing this game. It is a staple of Bioware games to be able to port over your decisions from the previous titles. They have done away with that in this game and honestly its really disappointing. You do however get 3 choices and there all from DA:I and i would argue that "Did you disband the Inquisition or not" is not that important to this game


Do i think that this is Bioware's triumphant return? eh hard to say this close to when it was released but i am more inclined to say no. However, I honestly believe that this game is a step in the right direction overall for Bioware after the disaster that was Mass Effect: Andromeda. The Bioware that made Dragon Age: Inquisition does not exist anymore most of those people are long gone onto other things but i think this game has given me a bit of hope for this new Bioware team. Do i recommend this game at full price? No, but i do recommend it when its on sale. If you want a pretty good Action-Adventure game that will keep you playing for around 40 hours this isn't a bad choice.

Why the ♥♥♥♥ does a person leaving cancel the whole game.

They finally fixed the bot problem (For now) so i will change my review to positive.

I believe in our human right to die for super earth.

This is the game i go to whenever i don't know what to play. Its worth the $15.00

Just buy skyrim and mod it to be in space. You will have the exact same experience and a better base game
