As far as Paradox games go this is the best initial release they've had. The game WORKS without any DLC! Stellaris, HoI4, Imperator all had/have problems. Stellaris is a completely different game than it was at launch. This game works great as a stand alone release and I'm excited to see where DLC can take it.
