review4: despite all negs, it's a masterpiece! what a game! with its current flaws/bugs, i give it 70-75. but game has great potentiial!

review 3: the way to witch coven is absolute sick design so feed up with it..shifting views & melting blocks ..it must feel genius to come up with these two ideas combined.

update2 : Chapter 2 wins my heart, it's satisfying and epic! map& level design is top-notch! with more skills unlocked, battles are more in our favor!

review 1:
I've been following news of this game for several years, and was so excited to see it finally releasing...
but out of my true heart, i can't recommend it for now.
1, battles are dull and boring... you will have limited attack methods for a long time...and due to how shallow your stamina is, most time you are just swing, swing and roll.. that's 90% of battle performance, because you don't want to dry out your stamina, that's where punishment starts.
2, i remember loots can drop from ordinary mobs when i played playtest. now it's all removed, only materials dropping. correction: monsters do drop gears, not a lot just their specials with fixed stats. it's weird in my case i didn't see any drops from ordinary mobs (not elites) in the first few hours, which gave me a false impression. also it's much better with loots in chapter 2, maybe they patched it up ?
3, bugs & crashes. i've had DOZENS of crashes and twice button malfunction.. it even crashes while in idle...
4, it says it's a soulslike, but should everyone know, what they mean by soulslike is traps/ heights killing you 999 times and retrying 999 times. it doesn't have what we expect from soulslike with battles...
5, the boss fight is as dull and boring as i put in point 1. remote from that in salt and sanctuary, and not even close at all to what no rest for the wicked offters in boss fight, intense, exciting, smooth counter attack...
6, the worst, as a game which has nearly zero loots where you may ONLY find ONE gear in a hour's gameplay, it might trigger OVERWEIGHT....yes you don't get overweight for all the things you carry, but switching a gear would. Once a big while you could find a gear from a chest or from a boss, but they don't fit in your playstyle, they are just useless to you. Cancelling gear-dropping from mobs is a wrong desicion in my opinion. Your current weapon caps your max damage, and hard for you to know where your next weapon is.

i am sorry to be harsh, i wanna give you praises for the amount of work you put in the drawings , audios, and enviroment building. Game has some tremendously enjoyable level designs.

but for an action game, battle experience comes first to all.
i won't consider to refund the game as support and to see what changes it might happen.
But please don't let us down..

Exceptional game concept!
but game still needs more polishing to shape up for sales.
- better monster models
- better movement algorithm
- better/more diversified environment building
- should allow to sell useless skills for coins rather than just deleting them

POE core inspired game..very neat!
the only downside is battles /enemy designs doesn't quite live up to expectation!
hope to see more prototypes of mobs and more fierce battles.
also, more gears and mods plz.

不建议买,这是个垃圾游戏,而这个垃圾纯粹在于设定本身。游戏终局难度提高,其实就是怪物精英词缀覆盖的增加,但在这些词缀中有三个高频覆盖且高难度的词缀,基本会在你遇到《每一组》怪里出现。
前提: 最高难度下,基本怪物碰你就死。结合这条信息看下面内容
1 盾守 反伤类型词缀,两三次攻击后就转反伤,玩家攻击它基本就是找死(必须用有cd的核心技能攻击但需要普攻回蓝),但很多时候扎在一堆精英里根本注意不到
2 守护 被该词缀覆盖的所有怪物全部是无敌,不管有多少个,不管里面有没有精英,也不管这些精英有什么词缀。也不管玩家把这些怪带的脱离守护词条怪物多么远,永远无敌。这还不是全部,守护词条的怪物,有一个能量圈,你在圈外攻击它,它也是无敌的,必须在圈内才是有效输出。
好,现在假设下我遇到过的一个情况,精英本身是盾反和守护词条,周边还有十几只各式各样的大怪小怪精英怪,还有回血的法师。。。怎么击杀?
3 荠子 该词条和上面的守护是反的,怪物本身是无敌的,必须要先击杀它周围所影响的全部怪物。听起来似乎没那么难是不是? 可是如果他周边的怪有守护词缀,或者盾守词缀吗? 如果他是从远处跑你身边来,你必须努力去找出它所影响过的那个群体中的每一只,不然你根本无法击杀它。
好,现在想象下,除去其他的词缀,这三个词缀在你遇到的每一组怪里随机的组合结果,这游戏甚至比类魂玩起来难受几十倍。因为尤其在地庙类型的地图里,狭窄距离短,怪物扎堆,玩家甚至连跑位空间都没有,记住,你被碰到一两次,十之八九会就会死亡。
实在不能理解什么奇葩变态做出的这个难度玩法设计,但大家记住,我们的钱,我们的时间,都非常重要,不该这么被浪费。

edit 3 ,don't waste your time and money with this game... it is trash...
their understanding with difficulty raise is to pack in as many retaliation elites and invincible protected monsters in EACH GROUP of mobs you encounters , yes there's ways to handle them but it's very time-consuming with EACH battle and both exhausting to do so....

it's been such a shame they consider meaninglessly wasting players time with these 3 types of monsters as design and fun for an endgame.

原因:在目前的最高难度下,寺庙/地下城类型的地图里基本每隔10秒距离,地图上必然有一堆受无敌光环保护的类型怪物,或者有盾护词条的精英怪物。
无敌类型的怪物,必须从几个,甚至十几个怪物中,击杀其中的精英怪物,且必须在它的光圈范围内击杀,不然它本身也是无敌的。不击杀这个怪物无法解除其他受影响的怪物的无敌状态,不管你把他们带出去多远
盾守精英更恶心,每隔小几秒就会变成反伤状态,玩家几乎轻松就被反死。必须慢慢拉锯战。
好,现在假设,一组怪里有两个以上同类型的怪,或者以上两个类型的怪组合,而且每隔一段距离就生成这样的怪。
其实另外还有一个有芥子?词缀的怪物也是无敌的,那个也很奇葩很多时候,是完全无敌的。。你站住输出1分钟也不会掉一滴血。。必须先把它周围的怪物全部清光才能解除它的无敌状态 ,(和守护类型的无敌相反的特征)

除了冰火雷电,狂暴,巨人词缀,基本全是各种 反伤,无敌

这个制作组对于最高难度的理解,就是在地图上放满了无敌,和反伤怪。。 简直奇葩到家,没有哪个刷子游戏是这样搞的,假设一次跑图30分钟,20分钟都是浪费在这两个类型身上的。
你画面差点,装备词条烂些,技能符文管理糟糕。我都能接受,毕竟比上不足,比下总有余。
但你最高难度的地图这种设定, 简直离谱到家了!

i tried to be positive about the game
but what kind of sicko hacknslash game filled its endgame maps with retaliation elites(shielded) and groups of invincible mobs (protected to) every few secs apart from each group of spawned monsters.
2/3 time of every run is wasted with mostly these 2 types...
this is so sick!

tbf, dragonkin is surprisingly good despite of many shortcomings.

thank you for dusting the game and making it shine again, however there are several issues thst make me hard to recommend the game atm
a) the 4 sequels of the original games are NOT integrated into 1, which is huge disappointment. now they are only intergrated into 1 launcher, that's all.
b) no hovering/overlapping map, making it so hard to navigate by just the minimap on top right, which is very blur to check when zooming out to view the full map.
c) chinese dub is entirely AI generated, and a bad AI, tones of chinese words are not correct. This is not acceptable. we didn't pay to get fooled by LAZY ai work while english dub is not ai- generated.

with that said, game is still reawakening to good old times with it's polished visuals and emmersive sound effects.

so it's recommended to put on wishlist till further adjustment, or maybr less priced
