I want to like this game. I really do. But it's just not that spectacular in any which-way. Yeah, there's a ton of characters, and they all have arcs--but nothing happening feels fulfilling or relevant. The game itself just feels like a long string of "do this, talk to this person, find this thing, repeat" with the occasional exposition dump. Said exposition dumps are mostly very awkwardly timed or presented and breaks the notion of "show, don't tell."

it's dark souls + metroidvania

It's great. Play it.

LIke outlast, only more memorable and better gameplay mechanics. Also a must have if you like the original Alien movies.
