I'm only just starting my Blender learning. I initially chose Blender because it came highly recommended by those in the Unity development community.... and because it's free. My ultimate goal is to be able to create game assets for some of the games I want to develop. Being a solo developer at this point, even though it's complicated, I can't argue with the "free" part. The fact that something like this is on Steam is also a bonus because it makes keeping up to date a breeze.

EDIT: Loving the 2.80 update which changed the Blender interface quite substantially. Things are just a little less confusing when navigating around and executing operations within the software.
