It is a true masterpiece in the survival genre and completely innovates on it and constantly innovates on itself with a very frequent update schedule. There are 18 unique characters including DLC and almost all of them change your play-style in meaningful ways. The amount of content in this game is staggering, now boasting 20 unique bosses and with an unreal amount of enemy variety that are high quality and unique in their A.I. If survival games disinterest you with the level of grinding required to get results, I completely feel that. DST provides character specific and also a huge variety of ways to get very common resources needed for a slew of different crafting recipes, so any grinding is mitigated almost completely by game knowledge. If you're into base-building, this game is very in-depth with its structures and turfs that can completely change how an area looks while making use of the games bird-eye's view perspective.
