To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to be able to play Earth Spirit. The skill is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of simple trajectory most of the abilities will go over a typical player’s head. There's also Earth Spirit’s roaming position, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal abilities draw heavily from ganking and supporting his carry, for instance.
The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these skills, to realise that they're not just skills- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Earth Spirit truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Earth Spirit’s catchphrase "Set in stone," which itself is a cryptic reference to his special sixth ability unlocked by aghs. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Ice Frog’s genius wit unfolds itself on their computer screens.
