I gave up on games years ago, with pathetic plots, lame social signalling and gameplay designed for 12 year olds (i.e. Americans), Dark Souls was the only game recently that got me going.

This game got me going, and has been the most compelling experience I've had in years. It isn't as hardcore as it might have been but the execution is truly brilliant.

Send devs in America and Europe a message - buy this at full price!

This game is the epitome of Japanese culture, with it's bright cherry blossum overtones, calming zenlike environs and respectful player community.

*WARNING*

***This game WILL consume the lives of people with OCD or autism***

The game itself is brilliant in scale but don't even think about there being a 'point' to playing it in the conventional sense.

Long time fan of the series, deleted out of sheer desperation of the fanbase of addicts forcing out all the normies. Do not buy and expect any enjoyment out of the multiplayer.

This is a very hard game for a seasoned gaming veteran to play simply due to its overwhelming positivity

It's difficult to describe using PC game analogues that the developers haven't already mentioned - it's quaint to play and visually appealing with a repetitive soundtrack (whilst good) and would benefit from voiceovers IMO (granted that voices may well ruin a game of this style)

8/10 would pick flowers again

The super powers are more steamlined than in SR4, the plot is as everyone else has already said paperthin at best, and if you work hard enough, there is a special appearance from someone very close to the hearts of SR fans everywhere.....

Graphics=same as SR4
Voice acting=Very good, but script quality is lacking methinks (as is range of characters)
Plot=What was the question again?
Humour=not as funny as SR3 or SR4, but still solid. Lacks any kind of hard religious jokes so as to not upset the biblebashers too much
Value for money=worth $20 for SR fans, not more than $10 for people new to the series

9/10 - would go to hell again

PS:
Lack of Genki-themed mini-games stops me from giving it 10/10 AS AN EXPANSION!!! (I will gladly sell my home and all its contents to see a SR:Genki game)

The steam store page really doesn't live up to this game - it gives the impression of a lame try-hard faux SR, and true the 'story' isn't great, but the gameplay does deliver some epic lols and is a must for anyone who has played SR3. Think of it as a cross between the Matrix, Bulletstorm and SR.

One of those games that proves games can be manifest art - don't be turned off by the cosplay-esque Alice character - truly brilliant plot accompanied by solid gameplay. Voice acting isn't inspired but this game presents a disturbingly plausible alternate interpretation of the underlying implications of Carrolls' classic.
