Very nicely implemented pic-cross game. Great controls. Wish there was a button for clearing all temp markers. Little pixel cheerleader is a welcome addition. Sometimes I do actually read about the art which is fun

Super fun. Surprisingly innovative. Fun combat. Love the teleport mechanic. Like the story. LOVE the art. What's not to love?

It's great it's always been great

Just doesn't feel fun to play. Enemy placement and attacks feel kind of cheap. The controls feel slow and clunky. The first few boss fights were pretty easy but VERY repetitive. It was just like oh boy I guess I'm doing this for 5 minutes now. The world feels very samey and boring. The placement of save locations feel kind of inconsistent. Between the slow controls, cheap enemies, boring environments, and inconsistent save locations, exploration quickly becomes a slog and there are just much better metroid-vanias out there. Then layer on the self-impressed, desperately grasping for meaning story there really isn't much here to enjoy. Refunded and moved on

Very long intro with huge area to traverse to find iron, terrible repetitive combat and a lot of it for some reason. Why is there a story that just dies 5 minutes into the game?

Game just ins't really fun. It's a bog standard Hollow Knight clone (not really a problem for me usually), but the real issue is the combat is boring (button mashy), enemies are very tanky and there isn't really any finesse other than pogo hopping. And often you are too confined to pull that off. So you just take the hits on the face and heal. Also progression felt slow

Beyond addicting and worth every penny

Things I love:
- The story
- The map
- The music
- The controls/traversal
- The pace of upgrades
- Ease of fast travel and how early it's unlocked
- The pixel art/envs

Things that bothered me
- The bosses, utterly and intentionally skippable and not even remotely challenging
- The weapons there are two kinds and just a few variations within those
- The ending, if you can even call it that. Years since release and I keep looking for someone to find the true ending
- Like the main character? Too bad you will be a drone 80% of this game learn to love it and it's one combat technique
- Feels like it's lacking depth compared to AV1

THE most fun I've had getting a BRUTAL hand cramp since Guacamelee. The world is so cute and the sounds design is incredible. I love the bizarre and memorable characters. The game play is challenging but fun. I'm not a super fun of how disorienting taking any damage feels. It's like Hollow Knights' pause double but even more aggressive.
