I've played both the VR and non VR version of this game and can say that I really enjoyed the immersion that VR added. It's an interesting take on VR, as it's still a third-person perspective (you look over the lead character's shoulder) but being able to look around in 360 degrees, combined with the 3D audio really helps you get sucked into the tone of the game. The VR view also is helpful during combat and puzzles as you can be looking in one direction while taking action in a completely different direction. Solid VR experience, would recommend.

Aviary Attorney is definitely more of a visual novel than a game. A lot of the evidence is obvious and you're just filling in the blanks-- but the story was a lot more fun that I was expecting, the writing and are style are both charming and I had a great time playing through until the end. It's a pretty short experience and honestly the full price of $14.99 (at the time of this review) is way too expensive. I got this game as part of a bundle and that's where it belongs. A quick, fun experience to pick up in a bundle or a heavily discounted sale.

I'm not usually a turn-based fan but this game is pretttty dope. XCOM puts you in the shoes of a squad leader who gets to decide each and every move that his teammates make as you help combat an incoming alien invasion.

Slick graphics, deep gameplay options and high level of detail and polish keep the game exciting and moving quickly along, even as you are allowed to take as much time as you like with each move.

Unlike popular opinion, I think I enjoyed Fallout 3 more than New Vegas. That said, both games are awesome and if you have enjoyed any of the Fallout Series, you will love this one.

If you've never played any Fallout, start with 3 and dip into this one next.

If you are a head-over-heels, die hard fan of Skyrim you might enjoy this game. If you've never played Skyrim, I suggest skipping this and picking that up instead.

With that said, I enjoyed Oblivion. By the time I played it, It was a bit dated; the graphics leave something to be desired and there are a lot of tedious mechanics and moments. The story isn't as rich as Skyrim but I'm assuming a lot of these issued can be addressed by installing mods.

Recommendation: maybe?

Think GTA meets South Park.

It's pretty wild and wacky but the game play is solid and I had a blast working my way to the finish line.

Womp womp.

I beat Dead Island but I almost wish I could get those hours back. I didn't encounter any glitches or bugs but the lacklaster gameplay was really a bore. Dead Island is open world, but that world couldn't be any less boring. You're tasked with going from point A to point B to point Z, then back to point A again to get flashlight batteries then back to Z because you accidentally left your wallet.

All the while you are bashing zombies that might as well be made of cardboard.

You should probably go ahead and get this game now.

I beat it once and beat it all over again on new-game plus. Mark of the Ninja is a side scrolling stealth game, that pushes you to rely on your own patience and craftiness to clear a level. There are a lot of paths to victory and the game sets a few extra goals if you want 100% completion. I really dig the art-style as well.

One of the few games where I was determined to get every achievement so I was making the most of this purchase. Scoop it up.

Recommended.

Sleeping Dogs is similar to GTA (open world, third person shoother, crime based mission) but it also has a pretty deep hand-to-hand combat system, reminiscent of Batman: Arkham Asylum. One of my favorite games of 2013.

Make sure you install mods for this game, it really pushes an already iconic game to another level.
