Game could have an amazing PvP scene but it doesn't because of hardlock mechanics and the fact that fromsoft makes bewildering decisions in balance patches. You're stuck building for PvP from a roster of meta builds which would be fine if those builds weren't all some variation of runaway->you can't shoot me Or heavyweight->assaultboost->doubleshotgun->shield. Those builds are also extremely ugly. There is no opportunity to out pilot someone beyond the very narrow constraints and head games within the hardlock system. Netcode is also pretty ♥♥♥♥ and you get punished for high risk gameplay which could possibly make lightweight hit and run maneuver gameplay possible.

Great campaign though. Really great stuff there, buy it and just play that.
