strongly recommend this one.. got like 500hrs on this (it creashes via Steam - make a *.bat script file and kill explorer,exe at game start) there won't be better TBS game...some ppl complain about no tutorial.. i got a retail CD version of this and a BOOK. Yes you needed a book for this in 1997, there was no internet to check guides in that time around,

I remember when i 1st played the demo, the graphic was amazing and the game-play too.
But then I bought a retail boxed version..in the box was a huge book and I was wondering what the hell is this good for, but then I realize what for. The game was so complex at it release.
And my English was pretty bad at that time...The localized Book was a "Holy Bible of X-com" for me and my friends.
Factions, Aliens, be careful where you shoot. If you destroy a building... BOOM pay or, you got new enemy... even the police...
Screwup a defense of a local company ... BOOM your staff wont be able to travel via taxi as the company is now your enemy...same with engine company... you won't be able to buy some parts, guns, gear and so on..
