Ah, the old "Upgrade your PC" response. I'll admit my computer isn't top of the line, but I'd hardly consider a machine built 5 years ago to be the source of these issues.
Although I have experienced the slowdown you seem to be referring to you'll notice I don't mention it once in my review. The only times I experienced anything of the sort was as I was moving from one zone to another and simply took it to be part of the loading progress. As such, it didn't really cause me any upset.
As for drivers, well they're all up to date. Sorry but I know how to take care of my PC, so I'm really not going to fault my own hardware in this case. Especially if this is an often discussed issue as you mention, in which case it does in fact seem to be an issue with the game. Strange how you feel this should make the game immune to criticism on so many accounts.
What a dunce.
These problems you describe seem to stem from the often discussed underpowered CPU issue. Nowhere in Ori have I had any issues like this, I can only think that something is throwing off your game. I wish people wouldn't try to run Ori on an oudated toaster, because it's going to get taxed/overheat and throw off the timing/math functions which will result in positional errors.
And it's these that you're experiencing. They can even teleport you around if they become severe enough. So what you're experiencing is Ori's movement occurring not as you've intended it, and you're parsing the errors as being hitbox related. They're not. Pay closer attention when you play, it's to do with slowdowns relating to the animations and how that messes up movement.
It's a known issue, but only on older computers.
