Over the thousands of hours I have played (both on console and PC) I can say Rocket League is a game I always find myself coming back to. Whether it's to play casually, just screw around in freeplay or go sweat mode in comp, I always come back to it.

It has a very, very easy mechanic system to learn, however mastering that will take you a VERY long time. I Have around 1500 hours including console, and I still can't break into Champ.

If you're looking for something that can just be a lot of fun casually, or something to get into competitively, Rocket League is definitely the game for you.
