If you are just getting into it, do. But don't expect anything new anymore, official content wise.

Even if you do quit, you still continue re-visiting it bi-annually.

My personal visit reason is because it just scratches that itch that no other game matches.
Once you get enough experience and the game gets old, it becomes the perfect brain-off multiplayer.
It's also the only Valve multiplayer (FPS) which is both non-competitive (prominently) and (comparatively) active.
