Barotrauma is the definition of toe-curling, look-over-your-shoulder suspense, stress and horror. For what it is, this game is terrifying by definition of the word, especially to individuals with thalassophobia. However aside from Barotrauma's horror aspects, the game is actually extremely entertaining in its' roleplaying aspects, its' underwater combat, and especially in managing a submarine full of fragile humans that you must keep alive to progress.

However the game is not for everyone, and dare I say it's even got a niche of sorts. Not everyone enjoys horror games, not everyone enjoys crew management, and not everyone enjoys fighting deep sea creatures with a diving knife. All in all, the game is hit or miss depending on the person, and I think that those who enjoy games of this nature should definitely give it a shot.

I barely play the game and I can say with confidence that it is not a bad game. I am giving this a bad recommendation because the playerbase is so genuinely awful. The playerbase is if you took reddit, and made everyone a twelve year old with aspergers and a perpetual caffeine high. Not only this, but the memes of this game are so genuinely annoying, and because of their popularity, absolutely cannot be ignored.

I do not expect an apology. I do not require one, nor do I want one. I simply feel bad for Puffballs United, as they did not intend for a simple game of Murder Mystery to turn into an autistic cesspit.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this game is full of emotional turbulence and good jokes. The game is quite short, though in all honesty, it is quite worth every cent I spent on it. I just wish it were a whole lot longer, but then again, it took me about 15 hours of nonstop play to beat it myself. I still think they could have fit an extra 10+ hours of dialogue to the game to add more depth, though the game isn't shallow by any means. It's simple in terms of play and tries to have a bit of slice of life aspect that fits into the game perfectly.
It's not just a visual novel about being a sexy bartender, talking to other, equally sexy people. It's about the experience you get from playing the game, meeting all these new characters. Even something that Jill said kinda stuck with me. I forget what she said exactly, but it was something about even fake characters holding a place in reality. This game really puts you in the shoes of Julianne Natalie Stingray, and it is an amazing story. I would genuinely like to say that this has to be one of my very favorite games of all time, by far.
