To be fair, you need a VERY HIGH IQ to understand Love Live Sunshine season 2 episode 1. The humor is EXTREMELY subtle and with no grasp of the world of school idols most jokes will go over your head. There’s also Chika’s genki outlook, which is deftly woven into her characterization- her personal philosophy draws heavily from µ's. Real fans understand; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realize that they’re not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Love Live Sunshine season 2 episode 1 ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate the humor in Mari’s existential catchphrase “It’s joke,” which itself is a cryptic reference to how everything in life is just a joke. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Sakurako Kimino’s genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them.
