yeah i think its pretty good

TL;DR If you like fun, don't play Hunt Showdown. The game is pretty, and sounds good. That's pretty much it.

I'll start with some positives. The game is gorgeous, it looks so good. I love the art style, the world, and the characters. It sounds really good too, the game is just horribly handled. I'm someone who plays Tarkov, and Destiny 2, so I know a thing or two about unbalanced game mechanics. This takes the cake. P2W DLC, horrendous gun play, and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ balancing make for one of the worst experiences. Tell me why, as a lvl 35, I can get matched against prestige 4 lvl 100's? With all the weapons, equipment and abilities they could possibly want/need at their disposal. While I have to walk around with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ little dollar store pistols, my grandpas double barrel, and a used condom. I want to love this game, but nothing about its gameplay makes me want to come back. Let's hope they can make a cool survival horror sequel or spin off some day, because the pvp ruins it.

Clunky and slow.

TL; DR Combat is polarizing, clunky and slow. First boss turned me off the game for being a lazy attempt at a skill check.

Wish there was a middle ground for recommending games. This fits that category perfectly. The story is okay, unique but just didn't grab me. From what I could understand with the info dump that was that opening cutscene, was that Paris was under attack. The machines were made to protect(?) the people. They went bad and now we - also a machine - have to stop them because we were told too.

The combat is nothing like I expected from the trailers. Extremely slow or extremely fast, those are your options, neither of them work well. The fast combat is fun, a lot of fun, but you get hit. A lot. I used the pre-order fan blades, they were pretty fun to use, and the combos were pretty solid. The one downside to this is lack of healing, along with the sheer amount of stamina it takes to get in close to an enemy leaves you hanging. Another one of the weapons I tried was the pre-order Discus Chain, it's a pretty safe bet. The one massive downside? It's just not fun to use, it's incredibly slow and has some boring combos. The starting weapon I tried was the Halberd, do not pick this one. It's ranged attack is worthless and the nature of the attacks leaves you high and dry just ready to get hit.

The boss design is rough. The first boss is supposed to be the test of what the player has learned. This thing was exactly that, and at the same time, a waste of time. What the game had taught me was "go behind the enemy and wack it". So I did just that, and it was a cake walk. I think the other dudes were supposed to be an addition, but they just kind of bumbled around looking lost. The one major thing I dislike about that first boss is all the garbage on the floor. I get the game has a jump button, but you get so much hang time that its practically just saying "I'm open! Now's a good time to kill me!". I should not die to a boss that easy because I got stuck on a giant rock in the center of the arena, or a stack of bodies. After killing this dude and progressing a little further, I called it quits there. The game has one thing going for it, the setting and the main protag's design.

Story is drop dead amazing, just wish it didn't treat you like a 3 year old...

The online is actually quite good, the community's nice *cough cough* GTA Online *cough cough* and I can find myself just wandering around for an hour just looking around or helping other players with their missions.

The combat is wack but I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ love it, It's so amazing when you figure it out.
(except fighting in a room crammed with tables and chairs is really hard sometimes 'cause you keep falling over)
