Thanks for the message on The Pit. I saw it was on sale. I was hoping the DLC would be cheaper, but I just bought the regular game instead. Reading about it I am not sure it sounds that great anyways so I'm going ot play it a bit first. Couple comments said it is very repetitive and that every level is the same kind of thing. I'll see for myself though.

Way it was described reminded me of Dungeons of Dredmor, which I did like, but it got incredibly boring around the 9th-10th floors that I just quit playing it. That was very repetitive and I didn't even play the DLC I bought because I was sick of it.

Rogue Legacy is on my wihlist too. It looks more fun than Spelunky to me. I get varied responses on which people like better though.
