This is the story of a dude who went senile and hated gen z so he wanted to destroy the world by making other people senile too and he is against modern Disney and final fantasy characters, then you gotta show him the power of heart, love and friendship.

Jokes aside, Kingdom Hearts gave me that feeling of seeing my younger self enjoying it with the most silly and "childish" comedy and story with the dumbest smile a man could have. I guess it's how it feels to see your son enjoying what you did back then. It has that charm that makes us replay and replay with no problem. But, I'm not that kid anymore and I saw really some flaws.

So the plotholes are a known thing in the KH universe (lots of them) and honestly what's the point now, the answer is always "the next games will answer them (they will not)" but as a game it feels really, really weird.
You see an abnormal level of love on the designs, the cgi, *some* of the soundtrack specially near the end and you see the art direction was insanely good.

Then why does it get so weird from time to time?
You can see some animations speed were nonsensically fast (the ZZZ type of fast) while the dialogues are spoken like if a 5 year old was playing the game and -honestly- seeing the standard difficulty you could think that's the audience they went for, I went instantly for Critical and still only had trouble at the end because I weas severely underleveled. Some of the sountrack, specially on Pirates of the Caribbean or Toy Store were "good" but grew old in seconds when you add make a loop of less than 2 minutes in a game where you are supposed to explore a little.

The maps have the gta problem where there's a ton of space for...nothing.

These weren't inherently bad just...it made no sense to me. It feels like there's a lot of love for a game that was rushed and could have been much more.

In any case, it's a good KH and gameplaywise it was fun and there is plenty of content.

Another really great step into the series. I didn't play RE2 so I can't really talk about how different it is or not, but as a game is really, really fun, it's more action-ish but it has a fair balance. It makes no sense it has the same price as RE3 tho, for the price absolutely recommended.

For the price is not recommended. It felt more like an extra of RE2.
It was a fun remake but I agree I have no idea what the heck was wrong of whoever cut those areas from the original game. It could have added so much to it.
I don't really get the "repetitive part" some people say, I really didn't feel like that, only that it seemed really, really short. Though the original RE3 was short too imo. It is really worth it if you find it with a discount, if not then just wait.

Whoever did the monster design on this entry deserved a raise, the silent hill-esque designs on such a cornered area was a great touch. But I must say, I understand this was a 3DS game, but if you port it, you could work on the loading areas. That was really annoying at some points when you get lost.
Otherwise? Absolutely recommended.

After RE6 I kinda gave up on "what will come next", because it went straight to Revelations action.
This was truly a great surprise. They went straight into the horror, and some of the feelings I used to have when I first played RE1 on a friend's PS1 emerged again.
The first run can be truly frightening and I must say if you, like me, have entomophobia, you will have a really rough time on the "early" game, but don't let that stop you from trying this masterpiece.

The story, though, I will say that once you first face it can come as silly and weird, but once you finish it the only word that comes to mind is...tragedy. For that I will have to also recommend the DLC's, they can be fun though not really necessary since it adds so much to the plot. I must say the "big reveal" was kind of predictable just by paying attention to some details even at the start, but boy I did not expect such a crazy rollercoaster at the end.

My only complaint is the variety of enemies is remarkably scarce, though it didn't make the game less fun in the slightest.
Also absolutely all my points for Jack's VA, and most of the cast.

I will say it's a 10/10 and an absolute Must Try.

(Spoiler) It is so sad a regular family of kind people that just wanted to help were backfired and killed just because of The Bakers' kindness itself. In "Daughters" it broke my heart to see how everything was and how it went. It reminded me of RE1 and the Trevors except for Lucas, that only made it worse. I kinda want to leave the game with the idea of them being able to have fun like in "Jack's 55th Birthday" on the afterlife.

After finishing 100% I must say there are way too many good points to make that it kinda eclipse the bad. So I might try to summerise it.

The game is a perfect mix between horror and action game, but unlike RE7, it's leading onto the latter rather than a horror game. The characters and plot is solid, silly but solid. You can like one less than another but everyone had their charm. The gameplay is sincerely fun and even the standard difficulty can pose a threat if you find yourself cornered, but the challenge is not that high. I really enjoy how the game gives you sufficient ammo to feel like you constantly need to watch out but also kinda relaxed.
My only complaint but also a good point for the game is the Village of Shadows difficulty. If you really want to play a horror game, play that. Bullets do not suffice, the simplest enemies require *three* grenade launcher shots to die, and they are agressive and fast. It makes the game feel absolutely different and I will recommend playing it 100%. It's not impossible, but I'd recommend some Infinite ammo weapon before doing that. It can be really frustrating at some points without it, but don't exploit it, I tried doing saves to compare the gameplay with one and another and some become a joke. I did "pass" the game 2 hours something in the infinite ammo thingy, the other could probably have been 6 to 7 hours easily.

Now let's talk about the DLC's:
None of it is needed in the slightest but can supply fun and content you may need. The mercenary is an absolute pass unless you wanna play as Heisenberg and Dimitrescu, honestly I did find it fun but prefered Ethan. The shop is absolutely not necessary but if you wanna even make it easier through the game, go ahead, 5 euros to become god in the village.
The rest are the usual Capcom unnecessary stuff but you can buy it to support the team.

So overall I will say it's a 9/10, I really enjoyed the game overall, I may have been sold out because I really liked the village, old horror stories from Europe and the aesthetic overall, sometimes reminding me of the Castlevania designs.

A note I gotta ad but brings nothing to the review:
I will never understand the hate for Ethan Winters as a main character. Calling him "dumb" and many other complaints. He is naive, his one liners are silly but I think it fits perfectly for the character.
Leon S Kennedy, Jill, Barry, Albert Wesker, most characters involved in these games had some prior training, he did not in RE7, he went in as the regular person would, completely naive. He only got some one after so many traumatising events on RE7. He's just your regular guy but a truly remarkable father in the end.

For a game whose theme is "Fear", it sure slacked.
It's literally Revelations 2 gameplaywise but storywise has no correlation with the other except maybe like 2 lines and 1 character. The game depends a bit too much on the 2 players thingy, that brings no problem in a singleplayer run but it sure is frustrating and confusing on a first run.
Specially when you make aa FLYING enemy that INSTAKILLS you be so heavily dependant on whether you can work with both at the same time. Glasps are the reason I have to lower the game to a 7 or rather 6.5/10. Like who in the right mind makes a timed area force you to deal with that. It was a scary touch at the start but it ended just as an annoyance.

Characters aren't really memorable either, except Barry and Claire. Moira was a fine touch and really made me happy to see her after RE1 but both her and Natalia are insanely bland gameplay and storywise.

Absolutely losing lots of points because of the dumbest idea I've ever seen as it is to divide the game in separated episodes that you gotta buy. But if you liked RE Revelations and RE in general you will enjoy it.

This is a challenging entry that everyone should give a try to.
The gameplay doesn't feel outdated in the slightest, can be truly satisfying to play except for flying enemies (the usual Crows from the titles). The music is really, really good while the story feels a bit lacking or silly at some points, considering that Resident Evil can get a bit ridiculous but it's part of the fun of it, in this gets a bit...annoying.

But one thing I must say that absolutely made me lose it sometimes is the absence of boxes and inventory handling. That thing was unexpected and can be really annoying at some points specially on the first run, but you get used to it quite fast.

So it's absolutely recommended. 8/10.
