Opinion:
Its a great game if you are the fan of a zombie survival genre. It has a steep learning curve which will get you killed in your early lives playing it. You ever wanted to setup a base at a Gas Station - now you can. You can establish a base anywhere from a self built hut in the forest to a diner off the freeway, some buildings of course are more practical for survival (houses,motels etc). Just remember you need a place with multiple exits and that's has the basic survival aspects. The game itself looks extremely good it doesn't need good graphics I personally feel that it would ruin the atmosphere. But the lighting and the vision effect is a nice touch to deepen the atmosphere.

As for multiplayer, its a great experience if you team up with friends. You have to learn how to cope when everywhere you loot has already been scavenged. I remember raiding a house with a kitchen knife and finding a group of dead people on the second floor in a closet. They were loaded with supplies - I just got lucky but Multiplayer doesn't summarise the game up in hole as its mostly a single player game and regardless on which mode you play on you'll always find it tense!

Survival is key as you can make a character very skilled only to die from something as silly as eating off meat. So try to establish a base and get non perishable food at first, eat all the perishables early on. Try to get a farm setup and a water source, as you'll need it once the Water + Electricity runs out which is random (unless your in sandbox).

Edit 2021:
Build 41, Vehicles and Animated MP will change this game for ever. It is worth purchasing even for the single player experience.

As I approach 11 years of ownership (19/06/2014), this game is like nothing else in the genre. The team at Indiestone have done something monumental in my opinion. The dedication they have shown the project through multiple incidents, mental struggles should be applauded. I for one am happy with what the game has become and am excited for its future no matter how long it may take.
