A being of love, loyalty till the end.
You took a life, for mere sustenance,
But at what cost, your actions' consequence?
My heart is heavy, my soul in pain,
For the loss of my companion, I'll never regain.
But as I grieve, I cannot hate,
For in your eyes, a different fate.
Perhaps you were driven by hunger's plight,
Or culture's norms, that deemed it right.
But as I ponder, I realize,
That all lives matter, in size and size.
So let this tragedy, be a lesson learned,
That every creature's life, should be earned.
And in remembering my dear friend,
May compassion for all, never end.
