I enjoy it. It's a fun game. I've played since day 0.

Main points and nitpicks:

- I would recommend this game IF AND ONLY IF you either have friends who play, are willing to find a group to play with consistently, are willing to join learning parties, are willing to progress at a slowish pace until you get more experience and have the means to show for it (roster level, boss clear titles, etc.)

- The game is innately gatekeepy because of the amount of raids that people want to get done per week. Nobody wants to take longer than necessary to complete raids that can be done in less than 2 tries as they probably have more raids to finish afterwards. This leads to people preventing low level or inexperienced players from getting into said raids, further preventing them from progressing. There will also always be someone stronger that applies that people would rather accept into their parties over you. If you are going to try to raid as a low level player, you need to make your own group and accept people with a similar account level (roster level) as yours. Or you have to find/make a static group instead. Also good gear quality and builds will help a lot on not getting gatekept.

- Progression system is a hit or miss to be honest. You are guaranteed to tier up your gear eventually after X amount of attempts per piece. This is basically a pity system. Further on in the game however, there appears more progression systems to further enhance your gear. Some of these systems are absolute garbage (looking at you elixers, bracelets, and stonecutting). The RNG on these systems are godawful especially since they have so many trash options that can absolutely wreck your chances at getting a good or even usable upgrade. I've spent waaaaaay too much time and resources on some of these god awful systems while some of my friends have been stuck waiting for me to progress because of that.

- Most MMORPGs that I've played have you constantly grinding. In Lost Ark, I don't have that urge or need to constantly grind as the game doesn't force you to play every day. If you skip a day, you can gain a rest bonus for daily content and receive the rewards the next day. This rest bonus does hit a max and will stop growing after a few days though. The daily login reward bonus calendar isn't for EVERY day of the month so you can miss a few days here and there as well. Personally, I don't even use my entire rest bonus and don't even do a lot of daily content. You can even "dispatch" some daily content and get a little bit less rewards by just letting it autocomplete over a few hours (even when offline).

Other points
- It's free to play and can be played completely free to play. I highly suggest at least buying Crystalline Aura, with in-game currency or with real money if you can afford it. You can easily support your Crystalline Aura subscription with in-game currency made from raiding or selling stuff on the auction house.
- The gameplay is fun.
- The story is somewhat interesting (you can always just skip the dialogue and speed through it if that's not your jam.
- There's a fair amount of horizontal content as well (stuff besides raiding).
- This is definitely a PvE only game, PvP is more or less non-existant except for a few people here and there who still do it.
- The game is receiving updates.
- The community is very alive
- The anticheat, EAC, is pretty bad to be honest. It makes the game take 50 years to load and will crash you out on the dumbest of this.
- Lots of bots at low levels :\
- They infect the economy pretty hard. Whenever there are bot banwaves, you can see the price of materials fluctuate (fish go brr)

TL;DR
4000hrs in. Game is fun. Community is gatekeepy but mainly because not many people want to teach people things in content that should be done quickly and efficiently.

Man where to start. I really like the game. It was gifted to me from a friend so we can play together. It definitely has got GOTY potential. The devs are cool. The gameplay is great. It runs fairly well and has plenty of graphic and gameplay customizations. It doesn't have insane microtransactions. And it's fun!

HOWEVER. WHY THE F DO WE NEED TO LINK A PSN ACCOUNT???? On launch, the account linking was OPTIONAL. O P T I O N A L. Why on (Super) Earth are we going to be forced to link our accounts?? I can think of 2 huge reasons of why this is an awful idea.
  • First off, making a PSN account IS NOT available in every country. There are DOZENS of countries that PSN accounts are NOT allowed to be made in according to Sony's EULA. You can find the full list of countries in other peoples reviews or online.
  • Second, PSN has an awful reputation securitywise. They've had SEVERAL massive data breaches with the latest one being not even a year ago!
I have little to no trust in Sony when it comes to handling this. What a huge messup. I feel terrible for Arrowhead (the devs) for all the flak they're getting when this is probably Sony's fault (the publisher).

Sony. Please please please revert this awful decision. You can see that absolutely nobody wants this change from the sheer amount of negative reviews in the past few days (over 100,000 negative reviews already!)

Sorry for any grammar/spelling mistakes, English is my first and only language so I have no excuse :^)

Sony has reverted their decision! This review has now been changed to positive.

If you like Super Hexagon, you'll definitely enjoy the game. If you have experience in Super Hexagon, it definitely helps. I ended up clearing the whole game in under 20 minutes from 0.

I'll definitely come back to play more as it's a good time killer when you want to pick something up and immediately dive into it or put it down if anything comes up.

Overall, great game for something so simple.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this game is hard. I love it. Definitely worth the three year wait though and I've only played 30 minutes of it.

DISCLAIMER: I REWROTE THIS REVIEW BECAUSE I WAS PRETTY PISSED OFF LAST TIME I PLAYED IT

This game really had so much potential. Unfortunately it flopped really hard. Next time, I'll be careful what I back on Kickstarter. Back to Starcraft for me...

Pros:
- Pretty awesome concept. Can destroy planets using big ass lasers or smashing another planet into someone.
- Controls aren't too hard
- Game is not stupidly complicated
- Game runs at 60FPS (Desktop with GTX 980ti SC GPU, i7-5930k CPU, 32GB DDR4 2800mhz RAM)

Cons:
Where do I begin
- Dead community
- Devs released new units that should have been in the base game
- Buggy
- Game does not run well on overkill systems (Laptop with an i7-2600k CPU, GTX 770m 2GB GPU, 8GB DDR3 RAM runs subpar, lags out a lot when only doing simple AI game)
- Multiplayer does not sync well and lags hard (may have just been our 100/100mb connection, but who knows)
- Gameplay feels somewhat basic, not too many viable strats out there
