Detroit Become Human: AKA, one of the best games ever made.

Detroit: Become Human is an unforgettable game with a moving story that connected with me on a deep, emotional level. The story-telling is so in-depth, engrossing and exceptionally written. It's a fascinating concept; that androids are surviving in a world that subjects them to mistreatment, oppression and enslavement, and it's up to you to decide whether or not they should be granted equal rights.

Detroit: Become Human has the most complex, impactful, and thought-provoking choice-making system, out of any game I've played. Where the fate of Detroit's future lies entirely in your hands. Every choice you make, either positively or negatively shapes how your story will play out. Some mistakes are forgiving, and resolve themselves in upcoming chapters, whilst others have serious consequences. Every situation has to be approached carefully, because every choice you make, affects the story to a significant degree. I am immensely impressed with how greatly implemented the choice-making system is. So far, I haven't played any other choices-matter game that has the same level of intensity.

Detroit: Become Human perfected character writing. There is a wide variety of unique, engaging characters with interesting backstories that reveal more and more depth the deeper you delve into them. They initially struggle with a loss of identity, but as you play through their stories, their sense of self evolves with the countlless struggles and challenges that are thrown their way.

The graphics, sound and visual design, cinematography and soundtrack were greatly improved upon over it's predecessors, and made for a very immersive, refreshing experience. The visual design is simply stunning, characterized with highly detailed sci-fi graphics, vibrant lighting, striking character design, and defining textures. I'm truly in awe of how beautifully constructed and graphically in-depth this game is.
Controls were also significantly improved, as they were a lot less clunky and provided a more smoother experience overall, particularly during quick-time-events. I didn't once find myself getting overly frustrated at poorly designed QTE's like I did in Heavy Rain or Beyond Two Souls. I think that's a good sign.

Detroit: Become Human is a cinematic masterpiece that exceeded my expectations immeasurably. It is hands down, the most interesting, ambitious, and detailed story-based game I've played so far, and I'm already fueled with temptation to do a second run and make new decisions and discover the numerous ways they'll impact the story.

Masterfully developed game with richly deserved awards. 10/10.
