Payday 2 has been a good game over the past 10 years.
Payday 3 on the other hand is truly a dead game.

Complete and utter shovelware. The only upside here is the achievements which you can spam in less than 10 minutes. Don't even think about buying this unless it's heavily discounted in the sales.

Like many others I was rather sceptical of this game before I tried it. How can a mundane experience like pretending to drive a truck around Europe be so engaging - there's no way.

More than 150 game hours later, here I am.

Without question one of finest truck sims available on Steam. If you plan to give it a go, be sure to get a copy during the sales and you won't regret it. Don't believe me? See the other 400,000+ positive reviews and maybe those can convince you.

A funky little game this one. Rather rudimentary and somewhat mickey mouse, but fun to play.

You get a variety of cars to choose from and an equal number of tracks to play on, that have been designed with hills, boardwalks and other features. I'll be honest, the controls are very simple and like most racing titles, it's a case of turning laps around each track and coming first to win. One of the reasons this game caught my eye was cos of the achievements. There's LOTS of them and all dead easy to unlock.

If you're thinking about buying Barro, I'd recommend it. Remember to purchase it only when it's on special offer though.

Er, no. I've played the original Barro and the sequel, Barro 2020, both of which I liked, especially for the price I paid and the fun/arcade feel. This one though is a very different experience from the last two.

As others have mentioned, there's much less in the way of landscaping and one of the tracks is literally a copy paste job from track 7, from the original Barro - but with no landscaping or bumps with speed boosts either.

Then there's the controls. My god, I see they've gone all F1 on us much like the title suggests. The controls are FAR more sensitive and the vehicle dances all over the track if you turn too much, one way or the other. I was hoping the difficulty curve would be less steep, much like the previous two games, but nope

Sorry SC Jogos, I appreciate the discount offered when I bought this, but I can't recommend.

Utter bollocks. I might be the odd ball out here with this review, but the game doesn't run properly and crashes back to Windows when starting. Literally right after customising your character.

Bioware, fix your game please. I know it's an antique (it came out the better part of 20 years ago), but please don't sell it on Steam if it doesn't work!

UPDATE:

Okay, I'll hold my hand up on this one and say I might've been a bit hasty with the comments above. It turns out, to fix the issue, I needed to fiddle with the graphics settings in-game. In particular the frame buffer and soft shadow options. Turning them off sorted the crashing.

Be that as it may however, the game is still looking very dated. I'll probably play an hour or two and see how it goes, but something tells me not much more. If Bioware develops a remastered/optimised version someday, for newer operating systems, that might entice me to explore this game further. :)

I have to admit when I first saw this game/sim advertised, I was skeptical. "Who the hell plays this?!" I thought.

And here I am now, with over 150 hours logged - and counting. As some have said, it's a mysteriously compelling game that explores the utterly mundane world of driving trucks around North America. Yet something here just works. And works rather well, seeing as so many have given this the thumbs up.

There's a splendid level of detail to be found. Many states like New Mexico and Oregon are a pleasure to drive around, whether it's with large articulated loads, or much smaller single loads. The handling of all the trucks really feels like an accurate representation of what it would be like to drive too.

If you've not had a go at this game yet, I highly recommend picking up a copy. If you can get a discount on it during the Black Friday/Autumn sales, so much the better!

An interesting, if quirky (and at times bizarre) game this one. You explore the levels looking for clues, focussing specifically on sounds. There's little in the way of an intro so it's bit odd when you first begin. I can't say I've ever played a game quite like it, but for a free to play one, it's not too shabby.

I clocked the game, unlocking all achievements, in around an hour. Others have done it in less, mind you. Also, like other gamers have mentioned, it's something that can let your mind wander with questions about where it's going, etc. I can't help wondering what the developers at LWNA were thinking, when this game was produced.

Dafuk? Like others have commented before, "...without the guide I would NEVER in a million years have thought of those words..." Even after reviewing some of highly useful guides, the achievements didn't unlock. Maybe it's just me, but after having a go at this game for around 20-30 minutes, I can't say I was massively compelled to keep going. IMHO just another run of the mill, free to play offering on Steam. Thanks, but no thanks.

Wow, what an experience Dying Light is! The best way I can describe it is...zombies and parkour with an open world twist.

The game revolves around an undercover agent named Kyle Crane who is sent to infiltrate a quarantine zone in a city called Harran. As the game progresses, you get to run (or walk) around a biter-infested city that has one of the best dynamic day and night cycles I've ever experienced.

This atmospheric day-night cycle changes the game drastically too, as the biters become more aggressive and more difficult to deal with, after hours. You'll see what I mean (and what it does to your heart rate) if you explore the city during night time.

Then there's the climbable structures and buildings that support a fabulous parkour system to play with. It allows you to escape the zombies and pull off a chain of stunts that you may not have done/seen before.

Focused mainly on weapons-based combat and parkour, it can be a blast to play, especially in multiplayer! Highly recommended and even more so during the Steam sales!
