only got 37 minutes so far but it is genuinely one of the most fun experiences i've had on a racing game. the game is difficult and you will suck at first, but if you like racing games i think you will really enjoy it and it is worth it for the current sale price of $6.79

Honestly this game is cool as ♥♥♥♥. I really enjoy this game and think it's a fun racer and it feels great to play. It also has cool game modes that I've never even seen before in a racing game but they work really well. The only real downside for me is the rubber banding. It's honestly kinda bad how strong it is but it goes both ways so I guess that's a plus? also game is completely dead so don't even try online

I don't think this game is exceptional by any means, but I personally think that it is better than Heat

I know that's an unpopular opinion, but I found myself having more fun on this game and found myself able to come back to this game more than Heat. I like the tier system (B, A, A+, S, S+) way better than just the number system that Heat has because it makes the game more balanced and enjoyable for me.

In Heat once you got a really good car it felt like there wasn't much to do because you just smoke the AI every time, and I never got many people to join me in races so online was basically out of the picture for me. But in Unbound, the AI can give you some trouble sometimes, and that makes winning feel a little better. Though the online is kind of dead. You will see people online but there's a 95% chance that no one will join you, and if they do, there's a good chance they might just leave.

I enjoy racing games a lot and would consider myself above average at them so I usually win most races against the AI, but, the only times I usually lose are to Shimizu since I only usually play S+ races since I like to go fast. But when you win almost every race with a 1 mile+ lead, it gets very boring, and that's my problem with Heat. In Unbound the AI is a lot more balanced and that makes it more enjoyable for me. I also love the visuals in this game and prefer the nitro system in this game over Heat. I like being able to get boost off of drift, grip turns, crashing a cop car, near misses, etc.

I think the biggest problem with this game is the cops. If you've played Heat you know how annoying the cops can be, and in this game its much worse. but if you're gonna complain about the cops in this game I think that's just nitpicking at that point considering you probably already know that cops are awful in both games

The story mode, while not great at all, is solid enough for me to play fully through, and also felt rewarding at the end. but I think Heat has a better story mode overall, but tbh, who's really playing these games specifically for the story

I think both games have their ups and downs and both are solid games that I think you should play, but I don't think this game deserves the amount of hate that it gets and deserves a chance if you're into racing games or the NFS games. I will say it is definitely not worth the 70+ dollar price tag, but I see the game go on sale quite often and I got the Palace Edition for just 8ish dollars, which I think is well worth it

Overall solid game that definitely deserves a shot if you're into these games.

just finished my first play through of the game and all i can say is not many games endings give you goosebumps, but this ones did. easily the best visual novel ive ever played and (from visual novels ive played) the best in the genre. funny enough i found out about this game through reviews on Coffee Talk, which is a less popular game then this, at least i think. but everyone was saying that coffee talk is just a worse version of this, and i think id have to agree. I like coffee talk but this game is definitely better. but anyways yeah best visual novel ive played, blah blah blah. 10/10 game

edit: just beat that stupid minigame. it sucks, but i did it!

this is easily the best sonic kart racer imo and probably in my top 3. super fun and addicting to play, every racer has different mechanics, tracks are incredible, abilities are super cool, etc etc. definitely worth $10 if you're into kart racers

10/10. first time a game has made me cry nbs.
