A massive failure of a company, filled with technical errors, bugs, and development mistakes.

The State of Dead by Daylight
Dead by Daylight was a tool that broke the mold in terms of creating an asymmetrical horror game with a simple 4v1 gamemode. Many many years later, the game is a compilation of errors that players face.

BHVR Interactive was often titled "successful" each time they published a major content launch for Dead by Daylight with many articles just avoiding anything related to the deeper game mechanics. After 1200+ hours of gameplay experience, I can clearly make the statement below:
Do not buy this game.

Dead by Daylight holds two major gamemodes and one additional game mode that allows you to have custom matches with your friends. The other two major gamemodes are Survivor and, as expected, Killer. Both sides have a variety of characters. Survivor characters remain as "skins" with different sounds as you buy their perks at specific levels which make it possible for other survivor characters to have them. Killers have the similar attribute, but the fact that each killer has their own ability impressively adds originality.

Is it Fun?
The game cannot be defined clearly as "fun" or "boring" entirely since all of the matches depend on either side's work, gameplay, and experience as well. It is a possibility that you will be put into a lobby as a Rank 1 Killer / Survivor while other players are Rank 7s, 14s, or even 20s. Matchmaking is a complese mess.

Progression in the game requires you to grind a lot, but then again, it is the only replayability of the game. Unless you have a chain of terrible events filled with players that simply kill your fun, it is very likely you will have another round of game until you have that one terrible game.

What about your statement at the beginning?
Dead by Daylight is going to celebrate its 4th anniversary soon. That is an impressively long development span. However the game is filled with technical errors and bugs that effectively prevent you from progressing in the game. And what happens when the only way of replayablity gets harmed? You have nothing but a broken product in your hands.

Being able to add more and more content to the game while letting a broken game remain is utterly disrespectful for the entire community. Do not buy this game by any means and do not support it till the company pushes their effort to the maximum to fix some gamebreaking issues lasting for at least a year.

Brother i feel you. As much as i want them to fix this game, they literally won't do it, and even if they do actually try to fix it, it just leads to more bugs.
