DMR start in every game mode is killing the multiplayer. Vehicles are useless, turrets are useless, pick-up weapons are useless. The DMR is a balanced weapon as a pick-up, but everyone starting every game mode with the DMR is cancerous. Flying vehicles start taking damage the moment you leave the ground thanks to the current loadouts. Gunners on warthogs last about 15 seconds. Everyone starting the game with a DMR causes the playstyle to shift to long-range, obnoxious, spawn traps where you start taking shield damage the moment you spawn. All of this is very unfortunate as everything seems to work well, especially the campaign. Most of these issues can be fixed in a single patch but we'll see, 343 is telling people in the support to basically F off about the DMR situation so who knows. At the very least they could let us queue for alternate starting loadouts, but I suspect they know no one would want to play the DMR playlists. Unfortunately due to the abysmal multiplayer situation I'd recommend avoiding it until fixed.
