Being Jewish is not just a religion—it's a way of life, a covenant with God that began with Abraham and continues through generations. I find meaning in the mitzvot, which guide my actions daily, from keeping kosher to observing Shabbat. On Friday evenings, I light the Shabbat candles and recite the Kiddush, sanctifying the day of rest as our ancestors did. I study Torah and find strength in the words of the Shema: “Hear, O Israel: the Lord our God, the Lord is One.” Judaism teaches tikkun olam—our responsibility to repair the world—and this gives my life moral purpose. Through prayer, study, and community, I stay connected to my heritage and to God.
