This game has the feeling of an old corridor shooter with crafting and looting elements. I really liked the movies, so this was an easy thumb up for me.

I understand why this has been getting good reviews on steam even if the professional reviewers disliked it. Resistance does a good job with the lore. It stays mostly true to the content and adds to it in a meaningful way. Skills and variety of weapons with ammo management provides a nice mechanic and shooting feels good but in an old school way. With that said, there are somethings that are less than perfect, the ai has been patched and I found that although the ai isn't perfect, it works well and provides for a challenge on normal and higher difficulty settings.

The major downside this game suffers from is graphics. Graphics haven't aged well, they aren't bad but they weren't that good to begin with. If you can overlook that, there is a fun game here. So much so I found myself wanting more. In fact, I found the levels to be shorter than I would of liked. The levels that really open up and give an almost open world feel to them would of been great if they were even bigger.

Overall, 8/10 Big lore bonuses here. Being able to finally live through the annihilation line is something I always wanted to do since watching the movies.
