And as far as this game being an expression of how marvelous and original developers can be . . . I completely agree. You used the word "masterpiece" and I can't think of a better word for this game.
I asked because I hoped this review was written by someone who played it in 2015 for the first time... but no luck.
This game is rare gem, as a gamer I feel truly, deeply, hurt when I think about how unrecognised Sacrifice is. For once that every single magazine applauded this masterpiece, without bias, the masses overlooked and ignored what is a fabulous expression of how marvellous and original developers can be.
As Zyzyx says «I knew it... I knew it all along!»
As Sacrifice certainly isn't your typical FPS-style game, Grandad didn't like it, and I received it from him soon thereafter. I'm pretty sure the game was still relatively new when I got it, which, the more I'm remembering all this, the more certain I am that it was in early 2001.
How about you? When did you first play it or hear about it?
