Here is a review that may actually inform you on if you would like to play this game or not:

Omori is very much a story rich and story driven game. You are supposed to care about the characters, and uncover their story. This is the strongest aspect of the game. So really try hard to avoid any spoilers if you can.
In terms of actual game play, it is an rpg maker game with turn based combat. The combat has an interesting mechanic with emotions, but overall it is pretty easy to win fights. I never really bothered optimizing my party, and got through the game with only really having to really break out the thinking cap for a few fights.
The game is also much larger than I thought it would be. I thought it would be a quick 10 or 15 hour game, but it took me 33 hours to get through my first play through, and I know I missed a lot of stuff. The devs worked on this game for something like 7 years, and it really shows in just how much stuff there is in it. You can interact with everything, the characters have loads of dialog depending on where you are and what is going on.
If you like story rich games, or feeling emotions™ this game is a complete buy.

It's a fun, short game, and a good way to kill an afternoon.

The gameplay is good, it is part puzzles and part rhythm game. The sound and art are both killer

This game is like lego meets battlebots. I would highly recommend if either of those things are interesting to you. The gameplay starts with simple parts and small guns on little buggies, and as you progress you unlock more complicated parts to work with, some that enable you to make airplanes and helicopters, and hovercrafts. The multiplayer is not great, but the singleplayer campaign mode makes up for it.
