When Koei Tecmo released Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends Complete Edition on Steam, my initial reaction was "Oh, this game will include all DLCs". I was wrong. You have to purchase the DLC separately. "Complete" word in the game title doesn't represent what it should be. This game should contain all DLCs.

Speaking of the game, this game is basically like previous Dynasty Warriors series. But, there are huge differences in story plots and warrior characters. You will play as a warrior of the Romance of Three Kingdoms (Shu, Wu, and Wei) and join some battles based on the plots of the kingdom you choose. The plot follows the Romance of Three Kingdoms, but there are hypothetical or "what-if" scenarios that are different from the original plots.

The number of warriors is 82 if I'm not mistaken, including the mighty warrior "Lu Bu". This series also introduces a new kingdom called Jin. Jin is led by the Sima family. Later, this kingdom will unite the division of the Three Kingdoms. Every warrior has a unique weapon and movement sets.

Other differences that I want to mention are:

• You can play in four different modes, story mode, free mode, ambition mode, and challenge mode
  
• Every warrior has a second EX attack (weapon movement sets)
  
• You can bring up to three bodyguards to the battle
  
• A new "ultimate" difficulty
  
• The maximum level of a warrior is 150 instead of 99
  
• The game supports Japanese voice with English subtitles.

Some people are complaining about the graphic and the controller. PS4 graphic is better than PC. I don't deny it, but who cares. I have been playing the game for more than 500 hours on PC and I really enjoyed it. I have no problem playing the game using both keyboard and external controllers. I know the game itself mentions "partial controller support" on the store page.

My biggest complain is the DLC. The DLC price is expensive. It's around 100 bucks. I see the DLC price is rarely on discount. If you are really interested in the DLC, I suggest to buy the DLC, like custom weapon and new stage packs.

Although I complain about the DLC, I would give this game the thumbs up. I also recommend this for those who follow Dynasty Warriors series from the beginning. Do you never play the game?
