Great art AND great gameplay, that's a rare combo in pixel art platformers.

I don't know if WWII was better as a more familiar setting, but while I loved Bomber crew I was just annoyed by this one. No route planning on a map in this one... the land missions were a welcome addition, but I only did one before my ship got into a gunfight AND some storm that hammered the ship. after ten minutes of reviving the crew until I ran out of health packs, while trying to repair the ship faster than it broke down I uninstalled the game. It wasn't fun, and I felt I already everything the game had to offer.

A great sequel. The new powers are fun, The puzzles & bosses can be challenging but still balanced... it's on the short side but it has a lot of extras content with puzzles to reach collectibles, overall it's easier to navigate than the first one and might be longer too.

it starts fun, but strings of terrible levels with frustrating controls ruin it.

Maybe there's some actual gameplay somewhere in this game, maybe the story is engaging overall, but sorry, wandering through a mostly empty, monochrome hospital to look for items lying around is not engaging. Even the PS1/PS2 games is seems to spoof weren't that bone dry gameplay wise.

A true walking simulator, with corridor levels, checkpoints far between and button pushing gameplay. Oh, I forgot more fun to watch a long play.

The new portal mechanic makes the base game MUCH better. Instead of working around the level, we have to craft actual solutions, as a great puzzle game would require.

Gamplay wise, it's just a walking simulator. The inventory only includes matches, fuel for the lantern (which annoyingly burns it in seconds), the occasional key, and ONCE two item that can be combined. The levels are mostly linear, with the only game mechanic collecting light sources that burn way too fast and lighting fixed ones.

Story wise, it's just... bleak. Playing as a pregnant woman who's terrified of losing her baby as her body slowly rots away just can't be fun. There's some backstory about the other members, but the only surviving one only shows up at the end and is laughingly poorly animated.

It's one of these games that are more entertaining as a longplay video than an actual game. don't waste your time playing it.

The perfect example of a puzzle game with a simple premise, and only builds from that without adding too many systems. The new mechanics push the player to be creative, in a good way.

A point & click that focuses on the fun part. No pixel hunting, no inventory clogging... a perfect transition from the flash games.
