Gone Home is a very touching, very nostalgic, coming-of-age story. The game's atmosphere is absolutlely fantastic and as someone that grew up in the 90's I can say that Fullbright have done a wonderful job of recreating its zeitgeist inside of this little mansion.

I know that a lot of people feel that the time they grew up in was special, but the pre-internet / cellphone / technology age felt a little more magical than the 2020's. It was the time that we were perhaps a little more naive and when we dressed terribly, but it was also a time of self-discovery and self-expression that you don't see in the "trends" of today. It was a time of individual growth and empowerment, and Gone Home tells that story well.
