This controller is PERFECT. Honestly I don't know why the controller has such a bad reputation. Ok, may look cheap but IT IS NOT cheap. The plastics are exactly the same as my xbox 360 controller. You may not like the design but it has nothing to do with the quality of the controller. Everything works like a charm, the controller activates instantly when you switch it on.

The possibilities with this controller are ENDLESS. You can set whatever you like, the profile configuration tool (you have to access it through big picture mode OR from the games library under the game properties) is incredibly 'complicated' to use and you can fine tune whatever you like, create/save/share profiles, button combinations and so on. Through constant updates they are implementing new functions all the time. Basically you can have hundreds of virtual buttons through combinations or long / multiple presses of hardware buttons, as I said the possibilities are practically endless and now they added support for multiple sub-profiles on the same game profile (you can switch between them). In an open world game you could have different profiles for flying, driving, riding, shooting etc, for instance, and switch between them in a fraction of a second.

To be short:

PROS

- incredible range of customizations, you can play anything you like and yes, it can really replace a mouse (but not be as good) in FPS games. Would not play competitive with it but it would be no problem to play a single player FPS on max difficulty.
- long battery life
- more available buttons compared to a traditional xbox controller
- gyroscope
- haptic feedbacks (customizable as well, and they implemented rumble and sounds through haptic motors)

CONS

- triggers have a very short stroke (a bit uncomfortable when driving), but it's just something to get used to.

I really recommend it, if you can find it in a shop (retail) just get it there and save on the shipping from steam which is quite expensive in Europe. It CANNOT be a substitute for mouse+keyboard obviously for competitive games, but it can really get pretty close. Nothing compared to a traditional dual analog stick controller....I'm sad to see it didn't get a good welcome from the PC community, I think this controller is the product of a genius.
