The idea behind the game is quite creative, but the execution left me wanting more. The painting aspect had potential, and I wish it had been explored in more varied ways. The puzzles get repetitive, it’s mostly just pressing the same button again and again. Still, if you’re in the mood for a short, stylized, and unconventional story, it might be worth a try.

A short yet powerful and immersive experience. The way the story unfolds piece by piece is truly engaging. The visuals, sound, and storytelling work together in perfect harmony.

My complete review list for The Walking Dead series, in order:

1. The Walking Dead: Season One — 4/5 ⭐:
A complete immersive experience with a rollercoaster of emotions, all thanks to that perfectly executed narrative design. I feel like choices are more important in this Telltale game than in any other I've played. My only issue is related to monotonous mechanics in some of the chapters, slow movement overall, checkpoint placement, and other minor gameplay-related issues. Nevertheless, Clementine's and Lee's story will stay with me forever.

2. The Walking Dead: Season Two — 5/5 ⭐:
What an INTENSE season from start to finish. They really polished the gameplay with lots of improvements this time around. On the narrative side, it felt like decision-making mattered more this season, with choices being more impactful and harder to make.
And oh boy, that dog scene...

3. The Walking Dead: Michonne — 3.5/5 ⭐:
A particularly dark and violent season this time around. It started off a bit flat, I found it hard to care about most of the characters until episode 3. While it was interesting to learn more about Michonne's past, I don't think it was executed well. In contrast, the villain was notably well executed. Overall, not bad, but it’s neither the strongest story nor the best gameplay in the series.

4. The Walking Dead: A New Frontier — 3/5 ⭐:
I mean it's good but it's not as close to being as good as the first two seasons. We're seeing a completely different Clem this time around, which felt a little bit off at first. Almost none of the character are likable imo, and the narrative was the weakest aspect of this season. Gameplay mechanics and cutscenes continue to improve with each season.

5. The Walking Dead: The Final Season — 5/5 ⭐:
This game right here reflects everything Telltale learned over the years with this series. While the combat mechanics and checkpoint design are still rough, the emotional depth and narrative closure make it a memorable experience. This is how you bring a rich story to a close—a game worth celebrating.

Average Rating: 4/5 ⭐.

I used to love this game as a kid and spent countless hours playing it. I tried revisiting it recently, but it hasn’t aged very well. The lore, characters, dialogue, and cards are still great, but the backtracking, paywalls, and repetitive battles take away from the fun. Still, I’ll cherish the memories of how amazing it felt to play this game as a kid.

P.S. I'll keep an eye on the upcoming Ravenwood Academy spinoff game to see how that one turns out.

Straight out of my worst nightmares, this game is a true expression of creativity and imagination. I love seeing these kinds of crazy ideas in the industry. Keep them coming!

P.S. – Loved the Amnesia and Slender references in some of the quests...

Not the perfect successor to The Last Stand but manages to work somehow.
It's your only option if you're looking to play this unique style of strategy gameplay on consoles.

Amazing level and character design! The story shows a lot of potential to become a major IP; it's quite interesting. Considering this game is the debut project of an indie studio, it's truly impressive. Congrats to the whole dev team!

If you enjoy 2D action-adventure games with a post-cyberpunk theme and a magnificent pixel art, then this right here is the game for you!

P.S. If you're looking for a real challenge, I recommend playing in the "old-school" mode of this game.

Concept is great! And so its execution. Much fun with friends (and mods). I recommend playing with people that know what they are doing.
