Many moons ago i payed 60$ for Overwatch GOTY Edition and was promised a great game that will have fresh content every couple of months. This was true to the beautiful man Jeff Kaplan. I didn't necessarily like the loot boxes at first but in time i grew to love them. If i wanted cosmetics i could get them by paying real money or i could earn them. Doing my arcade challenges, leveling up, endorsements, events, and sometimes just free loot boxes were great. I didn't have to pay a cent more and could unlock everything in the game for free just by playing. If i got something i didn't want from a loot box who cares, i didn't spend money on it. If i got a duplicate GREAT! I was awarded a fair amount of coins which i could put towards anything i wanted in the game. A new character every couple of months to a year, events that for the most part were great story telling, and cool new cosmetics. ALL FOR FREE *minus the initial cost of the game.

This takes me to the OW2 trailer that shocked all of the fan-base. We were so hyped for what daddy Jeff and Blizzard had cooked up for us next. But then the delays, the lawsuits, and then our savior disappeared like the Avatar when we needed him most. When the new trailers dropped and they started releasing the prices of the bundles and all the things they were cancelling i was shocked. Halo infinite was starting to look like a IGN 10/10 every time the Overwatch team tweeted or uploaded a youtube video. Finally the day came. Overwatch 2 released but where is the download? Oh it's an update for the original game? How bizarre. But see that was Blizzard's evil plan. More despicable then Gru stealing the moon, more evil then Dr. Doofenshmirtz, and more predatory then will okay maybe not more then Epstein but you get the idea. CHARACTERS BEHIND A PAYWALL, BATTLE PASS FULL OF TRASH, AND A SHOP THAT MADE HALO INFINITE'S SHOP LOOK LIKE THE CLEARANCE SECTION AT WALMART. I couldn't believe my stars. I was played and so were the hundreds of thousands of gamers that played OW. All the cosmetics that were promised to be free unlocks with OW1. Yah now i have to buy them. (i should petition for a class action lawsuit). ALL of the PvE got cancelled as well which was the main point of OW2.

This game is a nightmare of bad decisions and money fiending execs worse then the goblins at Gringotts Bank. This game is a huge letdown and a slap in the face to all the players that stood by Overwatch for the past 7-8 years. But HEY, we can always go back to the original OW disc/.exe right? NOPE! Blizzard knew what they were doing from Day 1 PJ (Post Jeff). Overwriting the original and shutting the servers down with little to no hope of the GOTY OW we had ever coming back.

In the end I love seeing the out pour of hate and negative reviews, (nothing against the developers) so much so I've started to wrinkle in the face after typing all this out and my finger tips are burnt from the lightning I've shot through my fingertips onto this review. Blizzard I hate you, you owe me all the unlocks from the base game, and i hope Microsoft puts you in a big timeout when they acquire you.

TL:DR This game is a burnt flapjack of what it used to be. Download it, Play for 10 minutes and add your negative review to the store page.
