For such a small game i must give it a wonderous review
now its VERY basic ATM but a upcoming update (like in a month or two)will fix this
but really its more or less this
go in
clear a bunch of rooms, find exit
decend further
find loot
use portal spell to return to town then go back in after selling
and repeat

now on the surface this is pretty simple and in fairness it is
but at the same time its not. combat is surprisingly well made and its fun to parry/attack/whatever
its not perfect, your player walks through molasses if hes side stepping at all. and with no real chartacter maker multiplayer looks very bland. as its hard to distinguish players aside from names.

but but but
its good. its a really good game. gives ya abit of a workout and is very forgiving with failures.
is it flawed? yes
are there bugs? a few. i had a weapon get eaten by the trading fountain and skeletons tend to "stretch" if their arm gets stuck on a wall

but really? for an EA game that came out about a month ago to date its INCREDIBLY stable and really fun. and im personally excited to see where it goes.

i really wish i could reccomend it as it looks so cool but as of now theres alot of problems
its abit of a faff to actually start up. having to troubleshoot the game using the steam discussion pages to get it to actually start.
and theres also just..nothing? it looks amazing and driving the mech is cool adn theres alot of fun buttons to screw with in the mech but thats it.
and the controls dont REALLY work with vive controllers as i could only reaload about 1/5 times i pushed the supposed button.
its got alot of promise but right now its not worth it

my thoughts after five hours
its good. solid mechanics and really simple gameplay that encourages you to explore and wander about and just. experience the world
is it perfect? no but no game is
i would reccomend getting it if you want just a chill "garden simulator" with a small story thats pretty easy to get through with a wonderful message

What do i think of this game? Well atm its abit of a mixed bag
On one hand i love its depth, allowing you to build a base and actually having to put in effort to make it work and not explode
However the documentation available to you is...limited aside from certain videos online (CowsareEvil is my main go to) but in game documentation id sparse in places and as a result you have to go through a fair bit of trial and error for anything.

But for me the kicker that makes me come back is just. The challange, there are kany planeta to choose from and all of them have their pros and cons (venus can ♥♥♥♥ off tho) but yea, if ypu want a challange with some very in depth building go ahead and grab it, just keep in mind the in game tutorial is limited and dosent explain some of the nitty gritty

so while my general opinion hasnt changed in terms of some of the ui elements/gameplay im not afraid to admit when im wrong
while there IS alot of substance here there are certain aspects that you will find tedious due to a lack of QOL features from other games of this type. however the game is not bad. its a game thats ment to be played for a long time in multiple sessions, and while again its got alot of work to go to become truely great (improvments to warp/energy recharging and certain building mechanics come to mind) its definetly worth the buy if you have the money to spare

"I am..conflicted tbh about this review, now the game isn't bad. its god a solid base and lovely visuals already. its just very clunky atm
i hate to compare it to the two titans of factory games atm but right now it takes an absolute age to really get any sort of foothold in the game as everything takes so long to craft buy hand and you need so many things to get started with automating. heck to get everything i needed to craft some belts to automate it took upwards of 2~ minutes to hand craft everything.

and on that note, if you have a habit of clicking the button to craft something from task bar that doesn't work it makes you go into the fabricator to build it, which doesn't take long its just more so tedious

now im saying "i don't recommend" this game but its more a "put it on your follow list and watch it, or get it on sale" i love the concept and i love the visuals. but there's only so far you can get with that and im hoping down the line there will be QOL changes that'll help with this. however in this state its just hard to get past the hump at the start. i will continue playing however and edit my review as more information comes up"

This entire expansion just seems incomplete and rushed. Really rough and clunky animations, half assed assets and parts (the ocean platform is an excellent example, it launched being basically unusable)
Not to mention as is standard with ark updates it will also consume a huge portion of your harddrive for this game.
The fact is this expansion is NOT ark, it's a different game. And tbh alsmots feels like a overhaul mod that was cut halfway through development
Between the flier ban (which makes sense on aberation, but here?) The super tiny and mostly unbuildable locations (see a nice area? Well too bad its probbaly build locked)
And the ridiculous "mission" system which, while cool I shouldnt be barred from basic reasources like metal and silica Pearl's so I have somthing to spend these "hex" on

Dont get it, unless a major overhaul comes through then dont waste your money or time

fun little title with alot of childish jokes and some tight combat

Really a great game that i cant stress enough for you to get.
now its not perfect, somr things are are dated (like for some reason my game chugs horribly whenever i can see trees unless im on low. and the brush detection can be...interesting at times)
it is a phenominal experience. with plenty of gameplay to keep you going for a long while

Spent 42 minutes of my life trying to get this game to run
