oh my god this game is stressful

If the game had less switch pulling and more combat puzzles it would be so good. Really hope they release a level editor

I think I can only recommend this getting this game when it's on sale.

I don't think being in the center of some big plot really works in this kind of game and having characters talk to you, ask you questions and assume what you think or whatever without your character being given a voice or u having dialog options or whatever really sucks.

I liked when the world building was delivered to you through your terminal emails and the logs you find on the ships you salvaged and I was hoping for more of that and environmental type of story telling. It'd be neat if some of the ships themselves kinda had stories for you to piece together, about their crews, how the corporation failed them, why they ended up on the scrapyard if it wasn't just them being outdated but there isn't really any of that. i dunno

I know this sounds really negative and i'm really focused on one thing but that's just how much it impacted me personally, the story stuff just actively hurts my enjoyment of the game

I'll still give it a thumbs up though because it is still very fun to pull the ships apart and maybe u'd be less bothered by the story stuff than me and maybe even like it i dunno.

I just guess early access gave me the wrong impression of what the game would have ended up being.

edit: Actually I'll give this a thumbs down the story is so frustrating to sit through that I could not complete the game. Game was wonderful in EA when the story was barely there and in the background

marred by technical problems and poor balance and garbage UI. It's fun but i don't think i can recommend it especially with how few people play it. maybe if it ever drops to 10 dollars or something it might be worth it
