Just yes. It has adventure, relaxation, fishing, tension, pvp, pve, just pretty much anything you and your friends want to do! Just remember any ship can sail away from any ship Just know the directions you are fastest at.

I wanted to put a minimum of 10 hours in before I wrote a review. Here's my humblest opinion of the game.

I came in LOVING the Dark Souls franchise. Owning all of them across multiple platforms, playing and beating them across them as well. Reading reviews, I've noticed, most of the down votes are only about and hour (if not less) into the game. After playing Dark Souls so much I did have to learn how to play NIOH. A lot of the combat strategy in Nioh does Mimic (for lack of better terms) resemble Dark Souls. THOUGH, might I add, Nioh is not a knock-off.

My review is based on an comparison of Dark Souls which intrigued me to getting this game.
  • Combat is deep- You have multiple stances (high, med, low) that change the way you guard and strike.

  • Controls took a second to get used too- I was used to rb and rt for quick and power strikes but because of the game's mechanics combat is more intuitive using A and Y as your attack controls. This being you need to switch stances in order run heavier longer combos. (I did originally change the controls to mimic Dark Souls, but it was to difficult to change stances.

  • There are NO invasions or invading- I did like the PVP aspect of Dark Souls. As opposed to leaving "blood spots" you leave a bloodied grave which will appear on other peoples games if your connected online. It will tell you how they died, also the Rarity of loot they were wearing (helm, chest, legs feet, hands, and weapon). You now have a chance to fight the revenant (you as an AI) and assuming you win the Revenant will drop loot depending on they were wearing. I found this fun! btw when you win you get an "Ochoko cup" (basically a disposable orange soapstone) which is a necessity in order to summon friends for co-op.

  • There are Missions- This was the LARGEST difference from Souls games that Nioh presents. Dark Souls was an adventure that would throw you into a world and let you explore and get to new areas. Nioh has Pre-rendered levels so to speak that once you complete the mission it sends you back to a map were you select a new mission. You will return to different points in that said map (with different openings and closures) to complete lets say a Sub-Mission. That being said you will have to grind on the same level/Map a few times. (This is my largest if not only gripe the adventure is not really there.)
  • Tutorials- (I should have started with this) There are Tutorial missions. Be warned though. it does teach you how to use your skill points but make sure you are looking through the whole selection before assigning your points.

  • Graphics- The Character Models are great! (They better be since you can't make a custom Character) the levels are well made too (again, they better be since a small map is loaded as opposed to an entire castle and outskirts).

  • More on CO-OP- As I mentioned before you need OCHOKO CUPS. You get these be fighting Remenants. This will allow you to "summon" a visitor from a Shrine (bonfire so to speak) to help you clear the area and fight the boss. I do have a hard time getting summoned into a game that is not on my friends list. It could be because I need to complete more levels or the early levels are to easy or not to many people need or know how to get help from visitors(phantoms).

  • LOOT- This game has RNG loot. Not often will you find the same stats on a weapon or your armor. There are magic stats that manipulate you gear such as crits, resists, etc... you can also re-roll a stat for money and crafting components at the blacksmith.

  • Bosses- Are big and gratifying to take down!
All things aside this is definately less of an adventure (not saying this in a bad text) than any Dark Souls game is. This game is great fun in its own right. Please comment if you have anymore questions. I know I barely dented what this game has to offer in a review.
