I first started playing this game back in 2014 around when Destiny came out. At the time I didn't really have the computer specs to run that game but found this untouched game nobody talked about that was free-to-play, that I could also run and was about "Space Ninjas". Sounded pretty cool!

I had your typical consumer HP laptop and was playing on the lowest quality settings but I was in for a shock. It looked better than any other game out there and the gameplay was what really sold it for me. Movement, weapons, and abilities in this game feel VERY FLUID, unlike most other games out there playing in 3rd person this did not ever feel jarring to play no matter where I went, how fast I went, how quickly I changed views, when I spammed abilities, ect.. Playing this game on my laptop back then made me feel like I was playing on the highest end prebuilt in the market. It still feels like this to me in this day and age even though I am now using a high-end prebuilt (the irony xD)

Was playing on-off till I really started playing nearly daily around 2017 and here's my input.

Pros:
-Storyline is one of the best I've seen from a non-single player game and non-AAA title
-Story directly ties into gameplay and content at a near 1:1 ratio until you complete all of the starchart
-Coop gameplay (you will always be queued into a squad of 4 unless you turn off squads for every mission) so ur never alone!
-Easy Learning Curve for anyone to pick up and play
-Fluid Gameplay (Movement, Flying through the air, running, shooting, using your weapons, using your abilities)
-Does not require a high-end PC to play
-Variety gameplay modes, mission types, objectives, and achievements to collect making each play interesting and new
-Many different landscapes, tilesets, and beautiful environments that will leave you staring into space
-Pets, collectables, your own spaceship, skins, community, and clans to join
-World maps that make you feel immersed into the environment with day/night cycles (complimented by bosses)
-No required in-game purchases but there's a happy medium which is fair (explained in cons)
-Made by Canadians!

Cons:
-True Endgame will feel extremely grindy and repetitive. This only really applies to elitists/completionists and people who have completed the entire starchart, end game content on worlds, and are now grinding rep for collectables to grind more level or for plat/skins/collections. If you haven't reached around a Master Rank (MR) of 23 this is almost a mute point.
-Railjack is an absolute disaster, if you are a new player just ignore it completely and focus on the starchart. It is absolutely horrid how badly this was integrated into the game and deserves an entirely seperate review
-Kuva Lich system was made to intentionally be difficult and frustrating to end-game players, forcing veteran players to run around for certain combinations of items for a chance to attain 1 item that they can max to grind more MR only to do it over again for every single "Kuva" item after.
-Purchases in this game are not necessary at all or even required, but severely deter new players from playing early on who do not understand how the ingame currency works (Platinum) or what purchases are supposed to be made with plat
-You are forced to watch quite a few guides early on to understand how Modding works, how to level your Mastery Rank, why you are required to switch your frames and weapons after maxing, how to earn plat, credits, endo, kuva, how to gain rep, how to conquer bosses, eidolons(bosses), and for most if not everything else in this game if you are trying to improve your own experience/gameplay.

Tl dr; You will be spending a lot of time watching videos, guides, and learning how to do things. However, once everything comes together there is close to nothing else that can beat this game other than what happens to your life afterwards. If the cons stray you away from the game, I ask you simply to complete the entire storyline (all of the starchart) first and then make your own decision afterwards. The story is very unique and a well-worth memory. Tread with caution for this addicting game though, if you pick it up make sure you have no other commitments for at least 6-8 months.
