One of the best mmo experiences I've had. Is it going to be different from most mmo's? Probably not except for the way they designed how certain abilities level up and how vocal npcs are when you speak with them. I appreciate the game so much just because how beautifully done everything is. You can tell they took their time in creating areas and how the npc's are voiced. The game is visually stunning. For people who expected this to be like other elder scroll games be real! You can't have a singleplayer game become a massive online game. A lot of the elements in the elder scrolls series are in this game but you cannot expect single player mechanics to be brought into a multiplayer game. It just does not work like that.

Pros -
Combat + counterplay for certain abilities
Graphics
Beautiful environments
Npcs are diverse / enemies are diverse.
Sounds are pleasing / npcs are voiced beautifully.
First person / third person mode.
Character customization.
Crafting.

Cons -
Quests are time consuming go from X to Y. (every mmo has this...)
Quests are sometimes rather silly more so than serious. (every mmo has this)
There is a lot of emphasis on gathering materials, so you spend a majority of your time searching for these items.
Game is not noob friendly.
Cost of game + monthly subscription. *pricey* (given the detail and amount of effort put into it I see why)

Pro / Con -
Mega servers allow areas to be unpopulated. (mostly instances, certain quests); however, I noticed in town there isn't as many people as I'd expect.
A lot of good names are still open! (really? How? Perhaps this game needs more player base)

Personal opinion on this game on a scale of 1/10? I'd give it a 9/10. Am I biased? I'd like to think not. I may not be as far in the game as many people as I recently picked it up but typically you get the feel of an MMO quite early on how it's going to be in it's entirity. I recommend picking it up on sale and playing but I would not justify paying 60-80$ on top of the 15 $ fee regardless of how nice the servers are or the quality of the game. That really hurts them in the long run. Eventually I'd expect them to lower it and or cave in to allowing people try the game for X amount of time or until X amount of levels in order to increase the player base. I will be playing this game for time to come and see where it goes... Either way I really enjoy it! Seriously give it a shot but don't expect it to be skyrim, oblivion!
