Having played this game, I can say it's the closest experience I've had to what my brother went through during his serving in BOPE, the elite special forces of Rio de Janeiro. The realism hits hard, especially when I think about how the situations we face in the game were his reality.

Acknowledging that I sometimes feel fear in a virtual environment while he faced these dangers in real life stirs up emotions for me.

If you're looking for a realistic and deeply immersive tactical experience, I highly recommend this game. This game truly captures the intense need for teamwork and strategy under pressure — just like in real operations.

Unlike typical tactics games where luck often plays a role, this game puts you in full control of every shot, adding a satisfying level of skill-based gameplay.

The vertical level design and different characters featuring their own unique abilities and passive traits, allow for a multitude of tactical approaches.

The feeling of accomplishment and progression is also incredibly well made. Based on the performance upon successfully completing a stage, characters are leveled up, and players are treated with new weapons and materials.

Besides its engaging gameplay mechanics, SteamWorld Heist offers players a vibrant steampunk aesthetic, boosty hats and a decent plot creating an immersive and enjoyable experience from start to finish.
