Not absolutely terrible, if you can bear through the subpar performance in many areas of the levels. However, overall it still feels like a rushed-to-release product with strange design choices, performance woes, and missed opportunities. In many ways inferior to the game that inspired it (Dead Space). Feels like it could have been so much more. Scary-wise, it relies quite heavily on jump scares which ultimately fall quite flat because there's no tension building up to the scare.

Recommended, BUT suggest to get it only on sale when after they've done lots more work on performance. When you do get it, expect a so-so game.

So many things don't work right. Crashing issues, server disconnects, ammo bugs, not being able to remove weapons from inventory properly, and so on.

Day 21 since release: Still crashing every single day without fail. MP, Warzone, you name it. Tried 3 different driver versions old and latest. What a piece of crap software.

Game itself is typical CoD. You either like it or you hate it. If you've played one of the installments since CoD MW1 in 2007, it's more of the same - you know what you're getting

Thumbs up - because I enjoyed more of the familiar Resident Evil 8 (both action and horror parts) and gives decent closure to the Winters' story.
HOWEVER, I'd only truly recommend it for fans of RE8 when this goes at a discount price (25% very least). It's short (~3 hours) and the levels are more or less entirely recycled from the base game (although it somewhat makes sense canonically - still feels cheap).

The new Mercenaries stuff are cool enough, but I won't factor them into the $20 asking price as they feel more like a free-update sort of deal (could've given it to us for free).

Great art, fun gameplay. Reminiscent of 90's classics (reminds me of the old Resident Evils). Only downside for me is that the story was a bit too hard for me to fully digest/understand - but nonetheless an excellent game by all counts.

Early Access Review
Might be the first 18+ game I've purchased on Steam (albeit at sale price) - came here right after having played Digital Seduction's previous game. Art and animation are good, characters look great, and gameplay's not annoying (don't expect too much though from point & click).

It's a little short for the first playthrough (took me ~2.5h for the version I'd played), but subsequent plays to unlock scenes make for a more reasonably total duration.

A one-man project boomer shooter; immensely satisfying guns and gore - shots and explosions feel impactful. Great artstyle and music to boot. Played for about 4 hours on Very Hard difficulty, but the price is more than fair for the duration @ $10.

Literally Boneworks 2 with more decent mod support. If you're keen on this game, know to expect a lot of jank physics (your body clipping and bouncing on stuff) and a story that does not make any sense at any time (they don't explain anything) - just like in its predecessor Boneworks. Otherwise, the gunplay is fun enough and the extent of involvement of player-body and physics in gameplay is the most in-depth and complex of all VR games; though they often make you realise why other games avoid having player body physics.

Lo-fi classic Doom-like with modernized movement and gunplay. You'll see most of what the game has to offer part way through, but gunning through the rest of the levels is plenty fun. Some players understandably dislike how the respawn system takes away a lot of challenge, but I don't mind it all too much and take it as an alleviation of frustration. The 2D+3D graphics fusion are pleasant to look at, on top of the excellent gore/blood FX.
