A trip across a series of awe-inspiring 3D sceneries with incredible visual fidelity. Reminds you to appreciate the beauty of the natural world and human life. No interaction beyond sound & video controls.

There are poor UX elements, engine drawbacks (unsuitable for multiplayer), recycled assets from FO4 & Skyrim, annoying limitations (storage limit), and so on... But if you want more of Fallout 4 and don't mind a game that plays just like it, FO76 is alright. Even more so now with NPCs added with the Wastelanders update. Get it on sale if you're able, and have a friend you can share stuff or play with.

In short: Was way worse between launch and before this last update, better now with NPCs added. Worth trying at discount price if you're a Fallout (FO4) and/or Bethesda RPG fan.

Having played through the whole thing with a friend online in splitscreen via Steam Remote Play: it's alright / decent. More interesting if you're a fan of the series, as it dives into the stories of some lesser explored characters. Bear in mind that for Remote Play splitscreen to work, both players will have to play with controllers.

Never played the original, but this remake feels phenomenal - one of the best titles from 2019. From the universally positive reception, I'd best it appeals to old fans of the series as well.

One among the higher tier of VR games. Good implementation of VR mechanics, interesting story, and great sense of immersion. Braining zombies is satisfying and gives you some sense of the effort it takes for the characters in those Hollywood zombie flicks.

The downside(s): Gameplay can be pretty tedious with how much the game expects you to explore and gather loot, but not have time for it due to the time limit on levels. Perhaps the idea is for gameplay balance and a sense of scarcity of time & supplies, but it puts a lingering pressure on you as you work through the levels.

Excellent showcase of VR interactivity and physics at an extreme level, to a point where the physics can get janky (arms clipping into objects you're holding, etc.).

If you like HL: Alyx, and are curious how its gameplay/combat might be if the realism were taken up two notches, give Boneworks a try. You can sprint, jump manually, dynamically adjust your standing/crouching height, climb ledges, and all sorts of other movement features that HL: Alyx has simplified. Some of these mechanics take practice to nail down, but you'll be executing them with relative ease once you do.

As mentioned in the opening sentence, just be warned about the body physics not working perfectly. Also, the realism is right under the border of tedium/troublesome-ness, so it might not be for everyone.

EDIT: And new features being added continuously for free (including a few levels and game modes)! Very worth supporting this game.

It's definitely shorter than what you might've bargained for at $60, but it's (IMO) not an absolutely horrible game as some others might have put it. Sure it might not live up to the quality of RE2 Remake and has content from the original missing, but on Steam's YES or NO metric - I'll say:

"YES, but be aware of the game's short duration and if possible wait for a sale."

Note: For clarification, it took me just under 7 hours for a leisurely-paced first playthrough at Standard difficulty. After a Hardcore "speedrun" and time spent for collectibles, my total time comes up to about 11+ hours.

The game that kept you waiting for 13 years - the premature end of one of gaming's greatest sagas. Still great even in 2020, especially with enhancement mods like MMod.

A nice looking visual improvement for the classic title, featuring improved non-tank movement controls. Some gameplay mechanics can be tedious by modern standards, but if you know what to expect this is a worthwhile survival horror-ish game to play through. If you're a fan of the series, you'll definitely not want to miss this one.
