There are poor UX elements, engine drawbacks (unsuitable for multiplayer), recycled assets from FO4 & Skyrim, annoying limitations (storage limit), and so on... But if you want more of Fallout 4 and don't mind a game that plays just like it, FO76 is alright. Even more so now with NPCs added with the Wastelanders update. Get it on sale if you're able, and have a friend you can share stuff or play with.

In short: Was way worse between launch and before this last update, better now with NPCs added. Worth trying at discount price if you're a Fallout (FO4) and/or Bethesda RPG fan.
